A beautiful park with so much potential… as long as somebody is taking care of the grounds - especially the trash cans! I went there the day after Labor Day of 2024 and there were multiple overflowing trash cans consumed by angry bees, as well as trash littered throughout the playground and surrounding park areas. How disappointing!

Seems like it used to be a really nice playground. We came in mid-March and much of the play structure was boarded off and all the slides had boards over them to keep the kids off. One slide was dismantled with wire fence around it. It's early in the season, maybe they just haven't fixed it yet! It would be super fun if it was fixed!

Well this place is very interesting, like you may arrange any type of event here as they have west and east shelters, one more suitable for groups w kids and the other one away from the play area so could be used for quiet gatherings, and on the other side there is another play area with slides.

Hard to get 5 stars from me, but this park is definitely high on my revisit list. A variety of places to go and sights to see. Good for groups, kids, and those looking for a place to exercise. Wide-open grassy areas to plan larger gatherings or activities. Various covered areas that can be reserved (?) which is helpful if you're entertaining with food and such. A decent amount of parking at several areas around the outskirts.

Been to a lot of playgrounds and this is a really nice one. We were traveling through town and stopped for the kid to play. If you live local to here you really should go and enjoy it! Lots of cool things like the roller slide, zip lines, swings, etc. the whole area is fenced in. Another neat feature are some of the big hunts where there are images pasted around the kids have to find. And probably the coolest but not really noticeable is that the whole layout is a butterfly shape- amazing from the air but we of course are on Earth. :)

This is a brand-new fenced playground for kids. So clean and nice. I gave it 3 stars because it came up to me when I was looking for a walking trail but this park has no walking trail at all. A very very small loop around a playground that's all that was bomber to me. I drove to keener for my steps after here but the playground is incredible for anybody with kids tho

My son absolutely loves the little town they have here. He calls it the traffic light playground and this place is huge. I would recommend that if you do come to the little town to bring a scooter or a power wheel. It can fit on the little roads in the town. I spent 4 hours in just the little town. There is a playground here for littles and bigger kids. I think there's 2 zip lines but I can never get over there because the little town is where my son goes. Leaving some fall photos which is very beautiful to see here! I definitely enjoy coming here.

A new fenced large playground with a big jungle gym, zip line, sandpit, swings, water fountain for both people and dogs, and new public restrooms. My kids love it! It is a very popular play place for kids, which means it's super crowded, too. It stays open after dark during holidays with lights on. Some equipment was taken away for replacement.

Great park with several different areas for different age groups. With a castle theme. The ground is covered in a soft fake grass sponge like material, so if and when your little ones fall, they won't get hurt like they do on blacktop, gravel, or woodchips. Nice pavilion area for picnics and cookouts. There is a permanent cornhole area that has 6 stations (i believe) next to the playground. There's walking trails too that connect to the Portage bike and hike trail.

Very cool little park. Especially if you are a local looking for a good park to take the little ones. Much of the entire playground is a miniature castle. There are ways to climb up around the whole thing, there are swings, slides, wacky mirrors, sandbox, little nooks and crannies to climb into under, around, through and on. Very reminiscent of the old Stow wooden playground that got torn down years ago. There is even a miniature down town Ravenna replica area and fake boat for the kids to explore. Other than that, there is a covered pavilion with several picnic tables. Fully functional restrooms with drinking fountains. More than ample parking between two available parking lots. One of the parking lots is actually parking for the Portage Hike and Bike trail. Considering everything I'm giving this place a 5 star review. The city takes very good care of this place. I highly recommend it.

Nice park with a soft fake grass ground and tons for the kiddos to check out. Swings, slides, a small sandbox that needs more sand, plenty of room to sit, accessible areas for handicap. Could use some cleaning up and as of July 2020 the bathrooms are closed because of Covid-19 I guess?

This park is so wonderful for kids…fun things to do & it’s nice & clean. Little kids and big kids get on the Zip slide…it’s fun just to watch them. There are benches & picnic tables for families to sit at while there kids are playing.

So much to do! This park is built with everyone in mind. The only things I'd like them to improve, are putting a fence up since there are little ones playing by a busy road and the restrooms were somewhat unpleasant. Other than that, this place rocks!

Since the weather is warmer no better time than to visit The Walnut Grove Playground in Canfield. Hannah loves it as its an awesome play area! Everything is over soft cushion flooring. They have a plenty of shaded canopies and benches and picnic tables set up around the perimeter. Everything is real bright and colorful. They have tons of handicap accessible features. There is a ramp to go on the main play structure with a rolling bars slide. They have monkey bars, balancing stepping stones, slides, lots of rock climbing and climbing structures, zipline.A hammock swing, glider, rocker, balance beams and sliding bars conveyor. They also had a large net climb on structure. They also have a musical area with large chimes and drums. They even have a walking trail to a pond and small bridge.

This is one of the Nicest most fun parks I've ever been to! My daughters absolutely love playing here and we've made it a funday-Sunday tradition now! The zip lines are absolutely amazing, and there are so many swings and things for my daughter to climb on! So happy it was built and can be enjoyed by so many kids and parents alike!

I’ve taken the kids here for years. Always a fun time. They’ve got an area separate for younger kids 4 and under too which helps with the older kids being more rambunctious. The swings are good for any age and somehow we always end up in the tire swing trying to make each other the dizziest! They also have a decent amount of picnic tables for a meal at the park.

We love Wildwood Park. We've been taking our young toddler there ever since he was able to walk. Perfect for small toddlers as well as older kids. The best feature is the park is completely fenced in with only one entrance/exit. Would have given it five stars but the newly replaced substrate is less than ideal. It flakes off and gets everywhere. Easy for little ones to ingest. We get it in our shoes and clothing and eventually into our vehicles when we leave. Still one of our favorite parks around

Easily one of the best parks in the area! They have something for all ages! I really appreciate how they have separated the smaller kid area from the rest of the playground. The only thing I don’t appreciate is that is it very limited to special needs kiddos- specifically with mobility limitations. However Rotary Park in Newark is much better suited for these needs! I promise your child (maybe even yourself) will enjoy this amazing playground with all its climbing, sliding, and swinging fun!

This is a cool little park to take the kids. Totally worth checking out. I love how it looks like a castle. I wish we had cool parks like this when I was a kid, I would have had a field day. There are also cool little secret paths all throughout the castle to get around if you are small enough to fit through them. Very cool.
