Haven't been in years. The playground is clean & lit up in the evening. There's pretty nice playsets that have three different kinds of swings for all children to use. The lights came on as soon as the sun started to set. It was a perfect Saturday evening for the kids. It's a lot nicer than I remember it from years ago.

Is this a public park? Tried to play Tennis there today and got kicked out… they said it was closed, which is weird considering it was Thursday afternoon, 6pm to be exact.

This is a small park. The grounds are well kept. It's good if you want to take small children out for a bit to play. Tennis courts are available as well as children's sports.

My teenager son and I were in the middle of playing tennis one morning in August, 2020 when several female pensioners arrived to demand us leave the court (rather viciously). They said that they "paid and reserved both courts" and "used both courts from 9 to 12 for all these years". I knew this was not truthful as all parish public tennis courts are first come first serve. The manager was called out who threatened us with calling police if we do not leave the court. One of the grandmas was nice to let us finish playing in the other court with no tree shades and the manager later made peace with us (we are of a minority group). We contacted the East Bank administration office regarding this incidence and Girard had since posted a new policy card for court usage (September, 2020). We have since returned a couple of times in the last 8 months but generally avoided the place even though it is well maintained and close by.

This park has an amazing playground. It’s expansive and compatible with kids of all ages. It’s naturally setup with a nautical theme with a large pirate ship sitting as a center piece. There are separate areas for the big kids and little kids. There are plenty of slides and swings and the typical stuff, but there are also some interesting home grown features that I’ve not seen anywhere else. It’s also super secure with two fences that ensure the kids aren’t going to escape. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean and there is a splash pad for the summer months. This is a jewel.

The Sculpture Garden at New Orleans City Park was a highlight of our visit to the city. Besides the more traditional pieces, they have some really fun and contemporary works-all of which are thoughtfully placed within the beautifully landscaped gardens. It’s definitely worth your time, and it’s free! (Be sure to cross under the bridge to explore both areas of the garden.)

Bit of a trek from non-Algiers New Orleans but a pretty sizable playground. Lots of tunnels and ropes and bars to climb on which should keep a fairly wide age range of kids occupied. There's some shaded picnic tables but the nearest covered area lost its roof from high winds. Bathrooms were functional and reasonably clean.

It's a good place for older children not for toddlers. There's not much that a toddler can do out there they have to be assisted by an adult with every step which can get very tiresome

The Oakdale Playground is pretty great, there is such a variety of things to do for many age groups. It is complete with a sports complex with tennis courts, softball and baseball fields, walking trails and many more. They also have a gymnasium and a breakout room that does fitness classes. You can check the schedule in the building or in the office. This is a very high traffic park. There is always a large number of patrons using mini aspects of the facility. So it is also cluttered. The bathrooms are very roomy and decently clean. There is a bit of litter everywhere. I do have to stop my son from playing with trash but he loves to pick it up and save the environment. With plenty to do and a high energy park with good viability it's a very safe place to take your kids, go for a walk,or get in a workout.

Great playground for toddlers, and big kids too! They have 3 infant/toddler swings, and the grounds are always well kept. The playground is completely gated in from the parking lot, so minimal risk of kids running into a parking lot. There are also 2/2 basketball courts, and plenty of technique benches, as well as an outdoor exercise station. We really like this park for our 2 year old!

I bring my 4&1/2 yr old there to play. There are 2 playsets, a small for the small kids, and a large for the bigger kids. There is a swing set with a nice handicap swing that is sturdy and safe. It's also got a big gym, baseball & football fields. It's a clean playground. The playground offers sports leagues for kids and teenagers. There's an outdoor workout area with equipment and instructions for adults to use for exercise. Then there is a covered, open air picnic area for shelter or water breaks. Very nice indeed!! 👍

This gym is overall excellent with sports and signing your child up to play a sport . But in my opinion they should let the children a least shoot on the basketball goal during free time the staff have. Yea I know it rules and regulations but, the staff of the terrytown gym can a least change the rules in the gym and let the the children shoot on it during free time when its no activities going on.

There refs have bad calls and are always on one side.I would never recommend this park to anyone and I mean anyone. When people asked the refs about it, they just ignored and laughed. When the other team would fall on porpuse , the ref would blow the whistle and give them the ball. When the other team would do a handball they'd say " well I never seen it and start laughing at the kids . When one of the people got kicked in the face the ref said " you'll be alright but tive the ball to the other team . After the game the ref would look at the other team and start laughing. When people told him if he was a paid ref he'd call the police . Bad experience and don't waste you're money .

This park is underrated I think, it's a very efficiently run multi-use park. The shelters are big and free to use, there's one with a clear view of the playground equipment area. The staff is nice and everything is always clean. There's also a pokemon gym here, just throwing that out there for fellow go players 👋

I had a very bad experience when I went to this playground to enjoy family time. I was with my two granddaughters who were swinging on the swings, when a man who worked there approached them and told them to get off the swings because they were too big and it was for smaller children. My grandchildren are only children and should not be told anything regarding their weight especially when it could have been addressed to me. The situation was handled very poorly and I will not be returning.

Somebody broke into my car while I was there. I parked on River Rd by the baseball fields, across from the River Rd Flea Market. I have never felt unsafe there! Please remember to keep your valuables with you if you take your children here. Do not leave anything in your car!!!! Learn from my mistake please! Very upset and will not return. This all happened around 9am in the morning on a weekday, by the way. One of the busiest times of the day! No one saw or heard anything. Heartbroken. I work hard to provide for my children 😔

This use to be a good park. It’s trashy and nasty. Women’s bathroom is absolutely terrible. Two stalls have no doors and the other has. Nails hanging out and won’t shut. It’s dirty too.

This park is so much fun for any age. It helps the kids use their imagination as well as their muscles, legs and arms! The rubber mat is so comfortable on your feet. Best park in Bossier City.

This is by far the best park we have ever seen. It is accessible for kids 6 months and up. It is for kids with almost any ability level. The kids had a blast and mommy was able to use the equipment to help the kiddos when needed. It helps with motor skills and is very interactive. Highly recommend it.
