This a nice park made around the Dam with multiple communion areas, two different play sets, and some short trails. We've gone here twice now, and haven't made it to the opposite side of the river yet, but it does look like there are more trails over there. Each time we saw multiple people fishing and even though there was a large party the one time, we were mostly able to avoid people. The one play set is big enough that my teens still enjoyed playing on it. We brought our dog and walked through their trails. We only saw two other people with dogs there, so while they're welcome, if your dog isn't as crazy about other dogs, it's a decent place to go. There is a drinking fountain with a dog fountain. The first time we went we actually saw a massive buzzard running around the picnic area down by the dam. There are bathrooms up near the main communal area and another down by the dam. I did not experience the former, but the latter is the fanciest portajohn I've ever experienced.

Our first time here was a blast. It's really a beautiful little area. My son (4 years old) had enough to do on this big playground that he didn't even care to walk over to the other playground area (smaller and geared towards smaller children) Picnic area, tables, restrooms and grounds all very clean. It's a pretty area to walk around at and view the reservoir. We will definitely be going back.

Very friendly owner and atmosphere! Perfect place to entertain your kiddos anytime of day. I brought my 9 month old who played in the under 2 yrs section with toys we don’t have at home. Everything was clean and new, practically no wear or tear. When some of the big kids left, we were able to explore safely in the obstacle course area and ball pit. I’m excited to keep coming back as my little one grows!

Do not sleep on this place! We stopped here to break up a long car drive. It was only 20 minutes off from 95. It has an actual ball pit! How long has it been since you’ve seen one of those? The other pay area kept my kids entertained for hours. There’s also a small arcade, blowup obstacle course, and jump house. With all it has to offer, it’s still a small space where you can sit and watch your kids while they run around without feeling unsafe. Only one entrance/exit. Definitely make a trip to Jurassic fun land!

This playground is excellent and safe. Soft turf, safe equipment, enclosed, and you have the option to fish. Great venue for outside gatherings with bathrooms and water fountains. Best park locally for little ones. There's a rusty bolt on a turning toy that needs a replacement cap on one of the slides. Plus the public can bring occasional smokers or etc to the pavilions that I didn't want my toddler to experience but that's Dover. My 18 month old loves this place. Middletown and Smyrna has a better park but that's mostly inconvenient for a Dover resident.

This park is a truly hidden gem. I am particularly enamored with the concept of the park's entrance gate and the musical instruments available there. The park is exceptionally accommodating for children, including those with autism, allowing them to play freely. I highly recommend visiting this park. Additionally, for those interested in fishing, there is an abundance of lakes. Furthermore, there is a small pavilion available for rental for parties. I have attended several birthday parties there, and it is truly a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

Clean and well maintained park. Great for kids to have fun, they can play on the rides, it’s amazing. Multiple playgrounds for all age groups. What a unique playground! The equipment here is in great shape, and has something for kids of every age. The overall theme is the sea, so there are climbable props of a whale, a crab, even a skull-shaped pirate cave. The larger play equipment has a lighthouse tower leading to a large spiral slide, while another part is in the form of a ship: the Millville’s Pride. There are several types of swings: the normal ones, the classic baby style, two with a pull down restraint (I assume for children with disabilities), and one unique swing with both a baby seat and a standard swing plank. My 2 year old and I had a great time riding it together. It’s something I’ll miss at every swing set from now on. There are almost too many play stations to list. Keeping with the theme there are several ships’ wheels, and gun ports. There’s also some puzzle stations near the picnic area, and maybe coolest of all: a drum station. Other amenities include a public bathroom, a little free library and dog waste stations. There is ample shade, especially at the many picnic tables near the restrooms. There are many nice benches scattered around, but unfortunately these are usually in full sun. At the time we visited, the parking lot was under construction, but there was plenty of temporary parking in an adjacent field. There was at least one bike rack as well. This place is well worth the visit.

Talley Day Park is a lovely place. Where else can you find a library, playground, dog walk, and walking paths all in one place. The dog area is even split into large and small dog areas. Plus the picnic tables make this a great place to spend some family outdoor time. Plus there is a nearby pond with ducks to visit.

Went to the dog park there for the first time this year and was very disappointed. It looked like it hasn't been maintained in months, especially the small dog side. There's clumps of grass, weeds and vines growing on the fence. Hopefully they clean it up sometime soon cause it really is a great dog park.

The park was beautiful and well maintained. Its in a great area and my niece always has someone to play with when we go. On top of having the huge Brandywine library on the same property and legitimately right next to the park. There's always something for everyone! Planning a small outing for yourself and friends? Consider doing it at this park (:

A lovely little park that re-birthed itself into a phoenix... 🐦‍🔥rising from the ashes of the demolition of West Campus 🏗️🗑️ This is such a great park for how little space it takes up. I’ve met people here who turned friends-for-life & have made some very fond memories here 😏 Great place for kids, a run / walk, or just to relax after class 📚 There’s always atleast one cop stationed here & my guess is the close proximity of college kids to older families who like to dial those 3 special numbers 🚨🚔

Maybe scary for parents watching children climb a 30ft rope course but the 5 and 7 year olds absolutely love this place. We frequent several in the area and the girls put this on top of the list. Several rope courses and slides, picnic areas and resting spots for parents. Although a bit frightening for me, girls give 5 stars.

Great park off the beaten path. Builds strength, coordination, balance, agility and spatial awareness. Perhaps the most unique feature of the site are the two play areas for kids, which are unlike any other playground in the area. The main play area is shaped like a leaf, and the rubber surface is adorned with drawings of insects. The focal point is a nearly 24-foot-tall tunnel slide – more than twice the height of typical slides – that kids can access by climbing up a challenging series of ropes. There are also more typical slides for younger kids, as well as picnic tables, a spinner bowl and other equipment. There is also a natural play area. Surrounding a tree is a large spider web net for kids to climb or lounge on. The area also features a rope agility course.

This will always be a sentimental park because I lived here when it was UD’s Rodney residence hall. I am so happy that the city created a beautiful park, especially now that I have children to enjoy it (almost full circle). You can tell they took their time in creating the park, because the equipment and soft padding is so uniquely intricate. I’m very impressed.

Great area for the kids to play. Honestly though be mindful of the gazebo. Anecdotally it's easy for parents to let their guard down while sitting in there and I've heard of various falls/ trips happening in the gazebo as a result. Rest of the park is perfect, and the gazebo isn't a death trap, just make sure to control any play happening in there.

There's quite a bit going on at this historic park located at the headwaters of the Broadkill River. It is located just around the corner from downtown Milton and the main tourist district. A walking path follows the waterside and there is a big gazebo that can be reserved, The playground is in great condition and includes climbing frames, spinning things, swings and more. The park does not seem to have a ballpark, baseball diamond or soccer field. There is free parking.

This is a great little park right behind the library. I wish the playground had been there when I grew up in the town. It has swings, monkey bars, a little merry go round, a huge teeter totter and a unique playground in the shape of a ship to commemorate the ship building that happened there for hundreds of years. It is also great when the little train is running that you can ride in. The park has water on three sides, so keep track of your little ones! My older kids like climbing the sycamore trees near the picnic tables.

This park is spacious and is kids friendly & dogfriendly. 🐕 It has a lot of beautiful benches, some grills for BBQ, picnic tables, many trees with dedication, a boat ramp nearby, and a train station that I assume is for a small train ride for kids. It also has a large play area for kids. I looked very the water view and the brick walkway. I do wish that the tulip art was installed in a place with a nice background. It's current spot makes it very difficult to photograph and it is hard to see the tulips with the distractions in the background. I really like that this park is smoke free. You can smoke outside the park. There are cigarette/ash disposals. There are a couple of portable toilets.
