I live around the corner and nanny in the neighborhood. This is a great location and the playground is unique but better for 5yr +. Not good for toddlers and the adults watching them. It needs more ladders for little ones

Visited with my granddaughter. The playground definitely was a good positive challenge for her from your traditional NYC Parks Dept set ups. I like the seating along the perimeter which allows parents to keep an eye on their children. Glad the sprinklers by the sand pit were on that helped with both cooling the kids off and removing the bulk of the sand before getting into the car at end of day. There seemed to be difficulty getting the taller sprinklers on so older children were stuck using other sprinklers which always becomes a problem with time. Otherwise clean, restrooms open, no homeless inside park area and well maintained.

Great playground near The Met with clean bathrooms, seating for observers and fun play structures for a variety of ages. Pro tip: there are two sides to the bathrooms. The bathrooms on the inside of the play area (not the ramp side) are usually empty.

It’s ancient because of the Egyptian theme with the pyramids, I liked that it has water splash pad and sand pit however the pyramids isn’t really good for younger kids and it’s not a park you can sit and watch your kids you literally have to keep going around with them to see where they are due to the tunnels and pyramids , where I kept having to help my niece climb and bring her down . I was frustrated the whole time . I like the area it’s nice location next to the Moma museum other than that wasn’t my favorite

A must visit if you are in New York. Just the scale and size is amazing. It's interesting how the areas around the park are called by the locals based on the residents/ wealth - new money, old money, etc. It's wonderful to know about all the movies that were filmed here at the Central Park. What's even more amazing is the fact that this is the second largest park of its kind in the US (and not the largest)!

We have walked around the park on three occasions during our stay in NYC. the Snow fall made it look so beautiful and magical and it helped to give an experience we would never forget. Due to the Snow a Christmas Movie was being filmed and we got to see Arnold Schwarzenegger in a black suv driving by the Bethesda fountain. We got to chatting to a few of the crew and had a great little hour on location. We got to enjoy the Snow and built a snowman as well as had a snowball fight. We visited central park Zoo and visited the Natural history museum. It was refreshing to walk round the park and see so many people enjoying winter activities as well as enjoy a nice coffee. Central park is such a pivotal part of the city and offers so much. I love taking in the site and seeing the high rise building surrounding it. The staff are friendly and helpful and the park is well looked after by its neighbours and visitors.

Huge park right in the middle of New York. The zoo has some animals and birds you wouldn't normally see in this weather. Penguins were super cute. The children's zoo allows you to pet and feed the goats and sheep.

The central park was really nice, it was impressive to walk in a park which is in the middle of the city. There were so many people picnicking, relaxing, exercise, and even doing online yoga classes, which was interesting to watch. The first thing was horses with carriage, which was the initial cost of $79 and $20 everything each ten minutes. The dogs were on leads and always so friendly. I love dogs 🐕 so for me ,this was a heaven. The water fountains are everywhere, so you can fill up your bottle or just drink directly for free. There are bicycle and running paths, though, so we need to be aware of not crossing their way. It was amazing to stay and walk around. I am definitely recommending everyone to visit. The girls are selling a cup of fruit for $5 dollars. It's freshly cut and delicious. Enjoy squirrels everywhere and don't forget to bring nuts 😉

My visit to Central Park was an absolutely wonderful experience. This iconic New York park is a true oasis in the heart of the city. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by lush greenery and breathtaking landscapes. The paths are perfectly maintained and offer numerous opportunities for walking, jogging, or simply relaxing. I particularly enjoyed the lake, where you can rent rowboats for a romantic or family outing. The gardens, such as the Conservatory Garden, are beautifully landscaped and provide an ideal setting for rejuvenation. The park is also rich in cultural and recreational activities. From street performers to art installations, there’s always something interesting happening. The playgrounds and open spaces are perfect for families, and there’s plenty of room for picnics and outdoor games. In summary, Central Park is a must-visit destination for anyone in New York. Its natural beauty, combined with the variety of activities available, makes it a perfect spot for a memorable day out.

One of our favorite parks. It genuinely feels magical to both parents and kids: you almost forget where you are! The way its natural elements appear and move between crowded columns of high rise apartments is top tier design. The tall slide is super fun. We like to start at Teardrop Park, then go over to Rockefeller Park, and finally run down the Battery Park Esplanade to get out the remaining zoomies.

Most exciting and well equipped playground in Central Park, with water fountains, climbing towers, swings, both shaded and sunny areas, plenty of space, and most importantly: decent bathrooms at the entrance, so you don’t have to run far in an emergency or to get them re-dressed. Recommendable, and it’s also close to the south entrances so it’s also well connected to public transport

Family friendly spot in Central Park, the playground is located at the north side of the park. It's spacious and well maintained, providing ample room for kids to run around and play. What makes this playground unique is its proximity to a large rock formation. This rock not only adds a natural element to the playground but also offers a breathtaking view of the New York skyline. The view from the rock is particularly stunning at sunset, as the golden hues of the sun reflect off the city's skyscrapers, creating a magical sight. It's a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of New York City. Whether you're a local looking for a peaceful escape or a tourist exploring Central Park, this playground and its adjacent rock offer a memorable experience for all ages.

Excellent park for the summer time with waterplay and plenty of swings. The big rocks were the kid's favorite. They climbed up so quickly that it was hard to catch up. When we got up to the top of the rocks, there was one area with a weird poo smell - not sure if any cats or animals left that.. Anyway, it looks like a very popular spot for kids to play. The view is also so unique, being surrounded by trees and skyscrapers.

Any parent knows that a fenced-in playground is where it’s at! This one has lots of fun structures to climb on, some slides, and some good spots for caregivers to sit down. I added some pics of just a small portion of the playground. There are also slides, a gazebo, and some little pathways.

Great playground to let your kids blow off steam from all the New York City chaos. I’ve come here three times now and my daughter gets more excited every time we go. What I like is that it’s constructed from natural materials which complement Central Park, the slides are made of carved rock which feels really smooth (much better than those stainless steel slides that turn into a grill in the summer sun). There is also lots of shade which is really nice on the warmer days!

A great playground that has so many spots to explore for the kids. Needless to say the big slide is always a hit for all the visitors. Once they walk around they’ll discover the bridge, swings and climbing structures in addition to the large and small slides. A definite fun spot for the kids 🛝🦖👍

What a beautiful park made with wood structures and stone steps so it is a natural and serene setting for parents and care givers with multiple play areas for kids. The park was unusually quiet the day we visited plus it is small so that made it easy for the kids to run around and us able to keep up with them. The park has a lot of shaded areas and landing areas are soft and covered in sand so not too rough on little ones knees. My kids (ages 5 & 9) gave it 5 stars!

This is one of our favorite parks in New York it’s beautiful and very unique. It has a kiosk for a little sitting area. It has a water feature. It has a little climbing feature with nets. It has swings entire swings. But the main attraction is the rockslide. It has a lot a large one and a little one the kids can slide on and it’s made out of stone. Our kids always want to come to this part. It is located on the east side of the park about 1/3 from the south.

Amazing views and an awesome area to get a run in, put out your exercise mat to stretch, walk a dog, or go for a game of volleyball. One of my favorite areas of Williamsburg where you get a great sea view of the City and the Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Manhattan bridge. Lovely weather as well when I was there with super clear skies and cool breeze from the seas. It’s an extremely clean park as well with everything well maintained. Only thing lacking is probably a bathroom! Fully recommended if you are in Brooklyn; really enjoyed my time here.

My commute to the park was an hour and a half so I had great expectations for my visit to Domino Park. While the playground itself was smaller than it appears in the pictures it was a lovely combination of challenging and entertaining for my tot. The picturesque view of Manhattan and the Williamsburg bridge coupled with the eateries on site and in close proximity is enough to make the journey. What I sincerely appreciate the most was the restrooms. They were staffed, clean and equipped with what is needed in a bathroom (soap, toilet tissue, changing table) and they were individual units. I saw them building on the space what looks to be an amphitheater and even in it’s infancy it looks wonderful. They also have a bocce ball space, volleyball net with sand and an open field for your enjoyment. Seeing as to how I brought my kid I also appreciated the signage indicating that drugs and alcohol are not welcomed. Oh and the respect for nature with the several plant beds and boxes for bees were a pleasant touch

A well-designed and fun place for kids and adults alike! The playground and picnic lawn offer a perfect spot for families to enjoy the day. Although the dog run is small, there's plenty to keep everyone entertained, from bocce ball to sandy volleyball courts. The views of the East River are stunning, and the added bonuses of a taco stand, pizza spot, and ice cream parlor make it even better. Whether you're looking for a relaxed picnic on the lawn or an afternoon of activities, this spot has it all!

Brooklyn has a lot of beautiful places but Domino Park is a gem 💎. You often see different people doing different things, sports, picnics, enjoying a meal, walks, runs and riding of all different types. My favorite time is around the September month when they host a Latin music (salsa) event every Wednesday from 6-9 pm! Live bands come out to perform and there is just a bunch of dancing of all kinds. People do different things, some people come to listen, others come to people watch or even play their own instruments. It’s really a complete vibe when you go with the right crowd, even solo you’re bound to connect with someone on any different day, it’s kind of Brooklyn way ✨🙌🏼

There are gorgeous views of the Manhattan skyline and sunsets, excellent outside playgrounds, sports spaces, and a fountain. The Hippo Playground in Riverside Park (W. 91st St. & Riverside Dr., New York, NY) is a delightful and whimsical spot for families, offering a perfect blend of fun, creativity, and relaxation. My recent visit with my two daughters was an unforgettable experience, filled with laughter and joy as they explored every corner of this charming playground. The playground’s iconic hippo sculptures were the highlight of the day. My daughters were instantly drawn to these playful figures, climbing on them and pretending they were part of an imaginative adventure. The water features surrounding the hippos added an extra layer of excitement, as they splashed around and cooled off in the warm weather. These unique elements make the Hippo Playground stand out from other play areas in the city. Beyond the hippos, the playground offers a variety of structures that cater to children of all ages. My younger daughter enjoyed digging and building in the shaded sandbox, while my older one had a blast on the swings and climbing equipment. The space is thoughtfully designed, with plenty of shaded areas provided by tall trees, making it a comfortable spot for families even on sunny days. Benches scattered throughout allowed me to relax while keeping an eye on my daughters as they played. Located within Riverside Park, the playground benefits from its serene and picturesque surroundings. The combination of natural beauty and well-maintained facilities creates a welcoming atmosphere for families. The nearby restrooms add convenience, and the clean, safe environment ensures peace of mind for parents. Overall, our day at Hippo Playground was nothing short of amazing. From the creative design to the variety of play options, it’s clear why this spot is so beloved by locals and visitors alike. Whether it’s climbing on hippos or enjoying the swings and slides, this playground offers endless fun for kids while giving parents a chance to unwind. It’s a must-visit destination for any family looking to create lasting memories outdoors!

One of my favorite places in the city. It’s always alive with people, food, music, markets, artists, art, skateboarders, commuters, musicians, color, movement and life! The markets tend to the pricey side, but I still love to wander around and look at everything. It look at these gorgeous floral arrangements from a winter market day! ### Review of Union Square Park, NYC Union Square Park, nestled in the heart of Manhattan at the intersection of 14th Street, Union Square East, and Broadway, is a quintessential New York City landmark that embodies the city’s vibrant energy and cultural diversity. As one of the oldest public spaces in NYC, it has evolved into a hub for recreation, commerce, and activism, offering something for everyone. #### **Design and Layout** The park’s design strikes a balance between urban functionality and natural beauty. Lush greenery, well-maintained flower beds, and iconic statues such as the equestrian George Washington statue make it a visual delight. Benches line the walkways, offering visitors places to relax while shaded by mature trees, especially during warmer months. The park’s layout, although compact, is thoughtfully designed to accommodate diverse activities, from leisurely strolls to lively public gatherings. #### **Cultural Significance** Union Square is not just a park; it is a cultural and historical landmark. It has been a center for political activism since the 19th century and remains a space for protests, rallies, and community events. Its location also connects several neighborhoods, making it a melting pot of people from all walks of life. This blend of historic gravitas and modern relevance gives the park a unique character, reflective of New York City itself. #### **Activities and Attractions** Union Square Park is bustling with activity throughout the day. One of its most notable features is the Union Square Greenmarket, held multiple times a week. Farmers, bakers, and artisans from across the region offer fresh produce, flowers, and handcrafted goods, making it a haven for foodies and eco-conscious shoppers. The seasonal Holiday Market is another highlight, attracting locals and tourists alike with its festive atmosphere and unique gifts. For families, the park offers a well-designed playground, while fitness enthusiasts make use of its open spaces for yoga, tai chi, or impromptu workouts. Chess players can be seen engrossed in games at the tables near the northern end, adding a touch of intellectual charm to the park’s dynamic ambiance. #### **Accessibility and Surroundings** Union Square Park is exceptionally accessible, served by multiple subway lines and bus routes. Its proximity to retail stores, restaurants, and cafes makes it a convenient spot for a break during a busy day in Manhattan. The surrounding area is dotted with attractions such as the Strand Bookstore, a favorite for book lovers, and multiple theaters and performance venues. #### **Challenges** While the park is generally well-maintained, its popularity can lead to overcrowding, especially during peak hours and events. Noise from the surrounding streets can sometimes disrupt the tranquility, although it is an intrinsic part of the urban experience. #### **Conclusion** Union Square Park is a microcosm of New York City, blending history, culture, and daily life into a vibrant urban oasis. Whether you’re looking to relax, shop at the Greenmarket, or experience NYC’s community spirit, Union Square Park offers an enriching experience. Despite minor challenges, it stands as a testament to the city’s enduring charm and dynamism. A visit here isn’t just a stroll in the park—it’s an immersion into the soul of Manhattan.

I’ve always loved Union Square and the unique vendors who bring life to the area. I shop here often, and it’s wonderful to find such reasonably priced items—from paintings and jewelry to scarves and little art pieces. I love the atmosphere, especially in the late afternoon when there’s music and everything feels so peaceful and perfect. I live nearby and often pass by to see if there’s anything new, and I’m proud of the culture and community that this place brings. Every time friends visit me in New York, Union Square is a must-stop to show them this vibrant part of the city. But recently, things have changed. One day, while browsing, I suddenly saw vendors packing up as a group of officers in green suits were moving through, telling everyone to leave and saying they couldn’t come back. It was shocking to see the space empty out so suddenly. Now, instead of the community I love, there’s construction noise from the Christmas market. I feel so disappointed, and I’m not sure if this is the new policy from the new president, but Union Square has changed. It’s not a place for all the people and culture anymore. Don’t come.

Best place to sit and relax after a long day at the office. Zen time is extremely important especially if you're in a big city like The Big Apple! Follow me on IG Instagram Sam @nyctme & @nycprimeshot

Nice small park. Within walking distance of World Trade Center One. Park is smaller size than some parks, but peaceful. More for families with young children vs teenagers. No basketball court.

Beautiful area of NYC, I was lucky enough to visit beginning of May when all the tulips are in bloom. A must is checking out the freshly painted Frank Ape figures on 7 separate picnic tables with a great view of World Trade Center. I loved my visit

Rockefeller Park is an amazing spot to escape the hustle and bustle of New York City. It's super easy to get to, with wide paths for walking or biking, and the whole park has a really peaceful vibe. The open green spaces are perfect for laying out a blanket and having a picnic with friends or family. If you have kids, the playground is modern and safe, and there’s even a designated dog park, so your pets can have fun too. What I love the most is the view of the Hudson River—it’s so calming. Plus, there are plenty of nearby restaurants and snack spots, so you’ll never be short on good food options. It’s one of my favorite places for a relaxed walk or just to chill and enjoy the day.

This is such a beautiful, peaceful area with everybody just walking by the water. The breeze was absolutely lovely, and if I had more time in the day, I would have just sat on a bench and enjoyed the shade of the trees and watched the boats go by on the water. There's a beautiful view across the water. This is an overall very peaceful area to visit in busy new york.
