The Steinberg playground is hands-down my family’s favorite part of Cosmo Park. It has all the standard features of a top-notch playground: twirly-swirly slides, little-tots slides, a huge metal hold-on-to-your-hats slide, swings, picnic areas, and convenient over-look points so you can easily keep an eye on the kids. However, what makes Steinberg so great is all the adventure opportunities! You can scramble along three different hill sides permeated with 67 massive tractor tires. You can conquer a space-themed obstacle course or scale a 2.5 story rocket ship jungle gym. You can crawl through tunnels, climb on a fossilized triceratops skull, excavate dinosaur bones, have a birthday party in one of its many shelters, and so much more. This park is packed with awesome from one side to the other!

This is probably the biggest children's play area among all the Columbia parks. It has multiple play areas and slides that can accommodate children of different age groups. Lots of parking space and the area is reasonably clean.

We have lived in Columbia a little over a year now, but visited this park for the first time today. I think it may be our new favorite park. Very nice. There's lots to do. My kids range in age from 13 down to 3, and all could enjoy this park.

We are always looking for a playground/park that all 3 kids can stay busy (ages 3, 6 & 9) and this park does just that! Lots to climb, lots of slides, lots to do. Best park in CoMo IMO!

Best playground in all of Missourahhhhh. We stop here on just about every road trip. So many fun areas with different sized playthings and various themes like a rocket ship and dinosaur bones. Love the big slide! Its kinda sketch and I'd never send my kid down it, again, but for an adult it's a blast. Not sure why they're building yet another playground right next to it, or why theres a cute little semi-abandoned playground across the street. The more the merrier?

I try to walk Fenton Park several times per week! It is a beautiful park and very family-friendly. It is well-maintained and beside a few puddles after big rains, there is nothing I would change about it! I'm a Realtor and I choose to live here because I love all of our parks! They are amazing!

The park is mostly athletic fields. There is a paved walking path around the perimeter. We liked the dedicated walkway to cross the street and walk along the river, although that is probably one of the greenway trails, and not considered part of the park.

Small park with baseball and soccer fields and a couple pavilions. Paved trail around perimeter of the park is 1.4 miles. It’s never congested, but it is a draw for local walkers, runners, and bicyclists. Calm and green with a 9/11 memorial. Also connected by a path to another walkway that runs adjacent to the Meramec River. If you’re running, this connection enables you to add on some more distance and scenery.

First time I have been to this park and it had a GREAT first impression! There are two playgrounds that are intended for different ages. A small swingset is near a small music area. The kids LOVED the small water stream they could control. Newly installed stairs to access the playground were very nice! Only complaint is there are no benches near the “big kid” playground. There is a small pavilion with a couple picnic tables, but it was not in a good position to supervise the “big kid” playground.

Our kids really enjoy the treetop park. There are a number of slides to choose. There are monkey bars, lots of swings, seesaws, and look out points. There is a little kid area and in the summer a splash pad. One section is made to look like a tree and has some fun climbing spots and some good hiding spots. Lots to do here.

Perhaps I visited on a bad day. There was trash all over the park. The children's playground had vomit and human feces. Why does there need to be stickers telling you not to sit at a seat on most of the tables? The kids loved the playground. Bring lunch and drinks because the young ones won't want to leave. The sculpture scared my granddaughter but she got used to it. It is a nice piece of art.

My sweet dog and I stopped at Vago Park (both coming and going) as we drove through St. Louis. The park was super clean, cute kids playing nicely, peaceful walking paths, and beautiful shade trees all around. We would definitely be regulars if we lived in the area. It was a perfect place for a relaxing walk and to sit in the cool grass for a while.

Great set up of the park. There are two playgrounds. One for little and one for big kids. You can have a get together under two pavilions with BBQ grills or spread out a blanket for a picnic on the grass. There are water fountains and a splash area for kids or adults to play in the water. You can play sand volleyball, horseshoes, or other games. The walking trails and gardens attract dog walkers, walkers, runners, and skaters. There is a part of the sidewalk that honor those who are or have served in the military. Next to is an Elementary School. Nice place little league or friends to gather to play baseball. There is a track around the perimeter of the fields. Good for various sports and games. People set up equipment and play football, volleyball, soccer, frisbee, etc. It's even a excellent place to train and walk your dog. There are two basketball ball courts and a playground that can be used when school is not in session.

A small playground for younger kids, a larger playground for older kids, a walking track, horseshoes pits, sand vollyball court, sand box, swings, and a splash pad that turns off automatically in 30 minutes to conserve water! This park is ideal for kids big and small, family reunions, school picnics and club socials. It has many picnicing pavilions, secluded tables both covered and uncovered, and plenty of well maintained trash recepticles. Loving this park!

The pinnacle of the St. Louis suburban experience. So close to St. Louis, yet so far. Slightly less imaginitive or creative, and a bit more stuck up than Webster. Its like Ladue on a budget. Visit Kirkwood!

Great double playground - one for the little kids, a bigger one for 6+. Rock climbing feature, slides, swings, sandboxes, etc. Only a few spectator benches are facing the playgrounds though. Several benches are setup in a circle area between the two playgrounds with limited views to the kids, making them sort of out of place. Why sit behind a row of bushes, with your back to the playground and you can't see your kids?

We LOVE this park! It has amazing play areas l, and the splash pad water feature is just enough for a hot day! The toddler play area has a fun play structure and has imaginative play areas. There is also a sand box and sand table for the kids to dig and play in. The foot rinser is seldom on, so bring your baby powder to remove sand. The “big kid” area is quite large and the kids LOVE it. There is one of those large boulder climbers in the center as well. The splash pad area has a pretty plentiful umbrella fountain. It is just enough for the kids to have fun and cool off. The pond area is a fun plce to walk around and discover nature. Overall, this park is definitely a favorite for us!

Splash pad, 2 playgrounds (the one for older kids is accessible), a sand pit and sand table near the smaller playground (which is fully shades, which was a nice surprise!) Plenty of swings at each playground and there's a concession stand with indoor restrooms, too.

Very pretty place with a lot of history. Great for a walk with the family (children friendly). Great place to take family pictures too, especially during the fall season. The volunteers are very kind and knowledgeable. And the visits of the houses don't take long, only a few minutes, therefore if you have kids, they won't be bored standing up and listening for too long.

This park has many enjoyable activities. There is the Butterfly House as well as the carousel. There are pretty gardens in the Historic Village. Lots of flowering trees in the spring, blossoms in the summer, and color in the fall. They also have a trail up the hill through the woods.

This is a nice park with lots of facilities like butterfly museums, songs, swings, walking trails. There is a nice lake next to the museum. I enjoyed a nice walk through a shady path and visited old house that belonged to the 2nd governor of Missouri. I wish they house was not locked, and I would visit if from inside. I did not find restrooms or drinking water fountains.

Lots to do here from blanket picnics, pavilion rentals for parties, countless picnic tables and a large playground. Tons of space to play Frisbee. Plus the main attraction is a farm with many animals. They have food to feed the animals, bring quarters or they do have one change machine in the big barn. They have goats, chickens, turkeys, cows & bulls, pigs, horses and more. A couple of stocked ponds for fishing too.

Reality vs Family

Hands down best park! We like going before cheer practice! And it looks like we aren't the only ones. Very family oriented park. Keep it 10 and under, for kid ages. Saw a couple teenagers come through and allllll the mom's were mean mugging them until they left. (they were being a little violent and playing rap music loudly.) But I'm comparison to other parks and things we have experienced, this is definitely one to revisit.

Awesome playground for all ages! Lots of gross motor/climbing development for our two year old, and good swings for our younger ones. Only reason its not 5 stars is the bathrooms don't have toilet seats so getting our kid to go potty on cold steel was near impossible.
