A great park for energetic kids! Parents who prefer to relax rather than play will find plenty of seating and shade too. Kids really enjoy themselves and have a quality time here. Must visits!

We adore this park, there is so much for kids to do. Each play structure suits a different age group, the splash pad is awesome and for the most part washrooms are clean. We love the pedestrian bridge as well, great views. Whenever people come to visit us we bring them here and spend at least two hours. Also, parents get to sit on the steps in the shade and watch the kids 👍

This is a very wide open place. Lots of picnic tables a splash pad. Bench swings for the adults to use. Plenty of room for you to have your own little space if you want to do like a gathering. The kids can run around everywhere plenty for them to do. Has bathrooms and little food trucks around. A Nice place to spend the entire day right there on the waterfront. And there's also the big four bridge right next to it. So you can take a little trip over to Indiana and to do stuff also

Excellent spot for a park. They have a few different playgrounds, a splash pad, and easy access to the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge. The ground treatment is pretty modern, the rubberized stuff that's easy on the knees. There's a good variety of equipment to keep kids of all ages interested.

A bit muddy in the all dogs section, and some previous visitor did not dispose of their poop bag in the receptacle. However, we were the only ones there, and this was the best run my big boy retriever has ever had in his 10 months. It was great to watch him run to his heart's content. We will be back!

We 💖 beckley creek park! This place is beautiful and green, filled with lots of birds and butterflies. 🦋 I love to kayak here & walk along the trails with my dog. The egg lawn is awesome for picnics and soccer games, as well as going for long runs. The sidewalks are long, they go for miles - perfect for bike rides and Eboarding or Ebiking. 🚴 Always remember to pick up your trash, leave no trace, and do not harm the wildlife 👍 ♻️ Beckley is a beautiful park thanks to the community that keeps it clean

Beckley Park is an absolute gem for nature enthusiasts and families alike in Louisville, KY. Nestled in the heart of the Parklands, it offers something for everyone, from serene trails to excellent picnic spots. I recently visited with my grandsons, and we had an amazing time. We brought along a football and enjoyed playing on the open fields, which are perfect for games and activities. Afterward, we took a walk on the trails, and it was such a peaceful experience. The trails are well-maintained and offer beautiful scenery, making it easy to connect with nature while getting some exercise. The playground area is another fantastic feature, especially for families with young children. It’s clean, safe, and packed with activities that keep kids entertained for hours. For those who love water activities, the Floyds Fork stream running through the park is perfect for kayaking or just relaxing by the water’s edge. What truly sets Beckley Park apart is its tranquility. Even on busier weekends, it never feels overcrowded, thanks to the park's vast expanse. The picnic areas and shelters are well-placed and make for great spots to unwind. Overall, Beckley Park is a wonderful place for outdoor fun. Highly recommended!

We recently made a pit stop at La Grange Springs Park to give the kids a break from our long drive, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. The park features a splash pad, which was an absolute hit with the little ones. They had a blast running through the water and cooling off, which helped burn off a lot of their energy. The park itself is clean, well-maintained, and offers a good mix of open spaces and shaded areas, making it a comfortable spot to relax for a bit. The splash pad is well-designed, with plenty of features to keep kids entertained for a while. Watching them have so much fun made the brief stop worthwhile. After some time at the splash pad, the kids were noticeably calmer and happier, making the remainder of our trip much quieter and more enjoyable. Overall, La Grange Springs Park served as the perfect break point for our journey. It’s a great spot for families looking to let their kids stretch their legs and have some fun. Highly recommend it for anyone traveling with young children.

This park is absolutely adorable. The playground equipment is high quality. Great for most ages. The Pavillion was very impressive. There is a toddler area, preschool, and then older kid. No swings. The merry-go-round was really neat being completely ground level with a seat. There is a pretty big splash pad area. The toddler area has musical instruments. The preschool area has a double slide, playhouses, and bridge, the older kids is a train that has a climbing wall on it and has a rope bridge with a play area underneath. Behind the merry-go-round is a cute couple of slides. The bathrooms are heated, and were very clean. I was highly impressed and it's even better that there are great little shops and restaurants near by.

Jacobson Park in Lexington, Kentucky is a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. The park offers a beautiful, tranquil setting with a large lake and plenty of green spaces for picnics and relaxation. It's a fantastic place for a leisurely stroll, a game of frisbee, or a family day out. The playgrounds and splash pad are perfect for kids, and the well-maintained walking trails are great for a peaceful walk or jog. The park also features a dog park, making it a favorite spot for pet owners. The fishing opportunities on the lake add to the recreational options. While Jacobson Park is a wonderful destination, it can get crowded during weekends and special events, so timing your visit is key for a more peaceful experience. Overall, it's a fantastic place to enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature in the heart of Lexington.

Wealthy people always have THE BEST parks for their own neighborhoods! Did a sunrise scenic drive the morning after 4" snow in NE Louisville November 2024. This is how it looked... Gorgeous, still, peaceful, calm, quiet, dogs having a blast running through the snow. Trees looked majestic. Definitely worth the drive. Photos are my own and follow DMCA protections.

It's a great park to picnic with family. A great place to practice for team sports. A lovely venue for cross country meets or to have a playground amongst school aged kids. They have tennis, pickleball and basketball hoops. They also have a disc golf course that I want to try out. Whether you are here to walk, bike or run, you'll enjoy your time at Charlie Vettner.

Rarely used park. People do use tennis courts and walk with their dogs. However, there is no fence dog park. There's only one bathroom that isn't operational. There's 2 porta potties, but they need to be emptied more often. There's 2 large gazebos with picnic tables and Frisbee throwing stands that people use. The park has been here for more than 40 years and has a lot of wide open space, and the playground equipment is fairly new. There's no lake.

I absolutely love this park. It's so big and peaceful. I love that there's a park for kids and a fenced in park for dogs. And the walking trail is so long, I spend beautiful days there walking my dog. I'm a big fan about the dog waste baggies and bins along the walking trail. I love the flower mural. I'm glad that there's accessible restrooms. Highly recommend it.

George Rogers Clark Park has always been one of my favorite places to play, explore and learn. My children attended sports practice in the large fields here. The children always enjoyed the play ground, water sprinklers, basketball and tennis. I always took my dog daughter too! George Rogers Park is full of history as well as folklore. I have spent many days at this beautiful place over my lifetime and still look forward to every visit. My very favorite thing to see is the Bald Cypress Tree. Ever since I was old enough to remember my grandparents took me for walks to the breathtaking Cypress while they told me the folklore stories making this tree so unique, mysterious and exciting. I shared this experience with my children as they grew when I took them to George Rogers Park to play and visit the Cypress . We would often walk down the trail and have a picnic lunch together on a blanket near the Cypress tree. If this Cypress tree could talk it would never run out of stories to tell!!! I just hope it doesn’t mention any names. I still visit and always go down to the Bald Cypress Tree, “ down memory lane “! What a breathtaking masterpiece this giant of a tree has always been! Here are a few photos I took recently. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Awesome, always!!!!! There's a lot to do at Jacobson Park! There are various playgrounds. There is a splash pad, which is not huge but it's very well maintained and clean. There's a lot of nice picnicking areas in the general vicinity of the splash pad. We did the paddle boats as well. We also observed a really nice basketball court, dog park, disc golf course with lots of participants using the course as we were there. It's just a beautiful park! It's on a beautiful Lake where you can also fish.
