This is a great park by the sea lion aquatic center. The park has a variety of playground equipment for kids of all ages. You can find a jungle gym, slides, music making equipment, swings, and a zip line among other things. They also have a swing set for disabled children so they can enjoy in the fun as well. My kids love this park, so we've been there many times and will keep going.

My kiddos loved this playground! Very clean and well maintained. Loved the variety of things they had to offer for the kids to play on. The spinning jungle gym was their favorite! And my oldest loved the zipline chair! This is our new go to park! Plenty of parking too! And loved the water fountains they had! Very useful to keep the kids hydrated while playing!

Nice new playground but kids got bored after 15 min of playing. Sadly, we won't be coming back. Both of my kids loved the web that was there for the past few years. Also, splash park is not working as of June 25th, 2019.

A very nice space. The circular climbing area felt somewhat on safe, as there was nothing to catch someone who might have fallen through the middle. But then again I'm 25 so it probably wasn't designed for me.

I have one major issue with this park: the play structure. The music play for babies and toddlers is awesome and it's a great thing to have next to a splash pad. The structure itself, however, should be nowhere near a splash pad. It is a fun structure for younger grade schoolers when the water is turned off. It turns into a play structure for young teens when the splash pad is operational, though. During the summer, older kids dump water down the slide, making it unsafe for younger children. It's not even a climbable structure for smaller sized children, regardless of age. The structure itself is best suited for older kids. If you are looking for a good place to play with younger kids, this is an awesome park when the water is off. My kid could have hours of fun. We only go if the splash pad is off, though. It's more fun in spring and fall on dry days anyways. Less people, and no safety issues. PS kids need to fall on their arse growing up, but they don't need to risk serious injury.

If you have energetic kids, no funds, and a very hot day Festival Park is for you. The splash fountains are fun to watch and great to play in. Even crowded with kids there's still enough room to relax and to play. The attached playground is designed to burn energy as well as foster creativity, and the park bathrooms are up a short flight of steps and usually very clean, well stocked, and well maintained. There is street parking as well as a small free parking lot across the street. Finding a close place to park is rarely an issue. For Pokemon Go players there are 5 pokestops and a gym literally within 20 steps of each other in every direction, and there is usually 2 or more lures active all the time. All in all it's a great place for adults to relax, kids to play, and everyone to have fun.

Very great park! It has playgrounds for both little kids and youth kids. There are some things that I have never seen at other parks, so my kids were very excited. They have sand and water. Big slide. Arts. I especially liked the bouncy spot on the ground level. Very well designed. There's a restroom available (we visited in October.)

Right next to the Elgin public museum ( FYI, it’s not free but cheep and has AC) and little free zoo and water park ( kinda pricy ) but it’s in view so I mention to grown ups of lil to beware, cause we didn’t bring our suits that day, “good times” … lots of space to run and play sprawling grounds. Also a security guard was present on the ground in the parking lot area or have been every time I’ve been which was comforting the time we seemed to be one of the few people there that day as it’s quite a large area and butts right up to area homes. Great park could use better or more clearly marked facilities , restrooms and water fountains. Also on an interesting side note… they had some folks kinda off by the zoo entrance which butts up to the park and courts area who were there “peddling” their faith in the parking lot. I’m not downing or demonizing religions, this world needs something, peoples are hurting and we all desperately needs peace, but not too many religions practice what they preach. So I choose to turn the other cheek, no harm to me, but just speak to let you know. As they were non-confrontational folks we saw didn’t overtly attempt to speak to us ( just two quiet ladies standing by their kart ) but seen them there twice now with a rack of brochures about Jesus I believe. I have my faith ( I’m all good) just thought to share as I’ve not come across this often.

I love this park! The groundskeepers are so kind and I can see why! So quaint and picturesque. I don't think the people who live around the park know how blessed they are. Take the kids to the petting zoo, have a picnic, beautiful landscape to take photos. I visited every day to walk the 2.0+ miles around the park. Look at the photos! Love it 😍

This is one of the jewels of Elgin. The oak groves preserved by both this east-side park, and its sister on the west side (Wing Park), are simply gorgeous. There are two playgrounds in the more natural side of the park, two tennis court areas, and one basketball court. The distinct surprise is the small animal pens that include several bison (that was a shock when I found that in college). There is also a more cultivated side of the park that has a duck pond fronting a rental-able assembly building - all very picturesque. But we keep coming back for the trees and the rolling landscape, and the fact that my kids run with their cross country club here (the Elgin Sharks); for this it is perfection. We recently hosted a cross country meet here and it could not have been more stunning. Picture evidence included. Am both thankful and proud of how well the City of Elgin has preserved there oak grove areas on the east and the west. Albeit at different scales, these parks are on par with Central Park and the like.

Wonderful park for children, with lots of different play spaces suited for kids of various ages. There were also lots of spots (many of them adequately shaded) for parents to sit and watch their kids too. The park also has a splash pad and mini golf area that we didn't get to try this time around, but it definitely offers another set of fun activities for kids and families to enjoy. The park is across the bridge from Millennium Park, so it also makes it easy for tourists to visit and do multiple things while in that area.

This play area is so bountiful of entertaining physical indícala for kids of all ages you will find yourself looking for the price of admission! It’s dangerously time consuming because you kids will continually find new areas and nooks and crannies to play in. Tucked away you feel miles away from a packed city. The walk in and out seems to be designed to transport you with every step to an area that seems magically placed in a city of mostly cement and iron. If the sun is out and you have kids this is a definitely place to stop on your journey in Chicago.

Lovely park! My daughter had a blast! Not for very Young toddlers like 2 year olds. It has lots of cool things. I am not from here so I found it a little difficult to find the play ground with in the park! Look for the building I circled in the picture. The play ground is closer to that building just follow the building lol Also they play grounds are separated by sections. That was a bit confusing and dangerous as I can totally see children getting lost.

This playground is one of the most amazing in all of the Chicagoland area. It has an amazing swing Zipline loom that really rockets kids around. And two giant green tunnel slides like two stories tall. Plus three other unique and intricate playground unique areas. This is a must visit playground for kids of all ages.

The best playground in the area and beyond. It's 30min ride from us but it's definitely worth visiting. A lot of different areas offering various plays. The place is great for all ages. A lot of shaded picnic areas and benches. The tree house slides are great to wear off some energy 😅 because it is a walk to go up on the slide again. The swing ride is fantastic and I've never seen it anywhere else. The surrounding trail is also great. There are several stops and stations along the way to stretch different parts of your body. It's an awesome area to spend the day overall

This is an awesome place for kids of all ages! Lots of activities, play areas, benches and picnic tables to spend a good time with friends and family. What I liked the most was that the playground is surrounded by trees and bushes, which create a beautiful shaded area. We would definitely come back here again.

Great park for kids AND parents. Our favorite part are the tree house slides! The park Definitely needs a few more things to do there (such as more rides for toddlers/ baby area) but nonetheless, it's serene and calming.

The absolute best park in Urbana! Big play structure, accessible ziplines (incredible!), Illinois-specific animals for climbing on, checkers and chess tables, plenty of shade, a shelter for group gatherings, the coolest, highest slides... It's truly a fantastic playground surrounded by natural prairie beauty at Meadowbrook, complete with several loop trails for walking and biking. An absolute gem!

They've set the bar really high with the remodel. There's so much fun things to do with the kids, but the best part of the new playground is that it's accessible for everyone. I've neve seen a Merry-Go-Round built into the ground but this makes it for possible for people in wheelchairs and other mobility devices to play. There's accessible swings, zip lines, and other activities. This was always one of our favorites back when it was wooden, but now more than ever.

The playground at Lake Shore Park is a great playground in Streeterville. There is a small and simple play structure for younger children and a much larger structure for older children with a few slides, climbing elements, and more. There is also the standard set of Chicago Park swings (toddler, adaptive, and belt seat). The play area is fully enclosed and features great views of Lake Michigan (although the views are over the often jammed DuSable Lake Shore Drive...). The play surface is wood chips and there are a few benches for seating. There are some trees that provide some shade and this playground is next to the fieldhouse for bathroom access. All in all, this is a great playground with great views.

This was a great park for my kid to play on while we waited for others to go to an appointment at Lurie's Children's Hospital just down the street. You can see Lake Michigan from the park as well as all of the wonderful city buildings the opposite way. It says it's designed for 5 to 10 or 12 year olds, but there was a slide, swings, and other things 3-4 year olds could probably enjoy, too. If we need to be in the area again with time to spare, we'll definitely return!

Fabulous park just behind the Museum of Contemporary Art. In Lake Shore Park there are tennis courts ,look online to schedule, there is a jogging track around the edge of the park & a lovely grass area for dogs, picnics & many other things. There is also a children's park, just west of lake shore park, in Bennett Park. Visitors will enjoy this hidden gem!!
