Visited the Stonington playground and came across this incredible tree sculpture made from crab cages. The floating decorations are painted so beautifully, adding a vibrant touch to the scene. Such a creative and unique piece of art! Stonington, Connecticut, has several playgrounds and recreational facilities managed by the Recreation Division. One notable playground is located in Spellman Park, which features a large playground area, athletic fields, outdoor exercise equipment, basketball courts, tennis courts, and pavilions. Free parking

The tree and ornaments were beautiful. Ladies there, braving the cold, to help take pictures both outside and inside the tree. Thank you for this creative expression of our region.

We went to see the lobster pot Christmas tree! What a terrific new tradition in Stonington. It has an anchor on top and lights up. You can walk inside it too. The Chamber of Commerce has cooked up this great idea of decorating buoys and hanging them on a tree made if lobster pots. Go see it and have lunch or dinner in Stonington!

Went there for the trap tree - love or hate it we had a great visit. Good parking though not well designed for the large crowds we saw. The warmer the night the busier it will be.
