I love Monument Valley Park it's centrally located near downtown. It's very clean near the college. Beautiful views of Pikes Peak. There are exposed areas but also very shady areas so you are not in full blast of the sun all of the time. I do a 4-mile walk there a few times a week and have done so for years. My daughter really likes the park.

Monument Valley Park is quite big overall, so this review is specific to the playground only, not the pickleball area, swimming pool, or trails. As of Summer 2023, the playground was excellent...5 stars. Beautiful Pikes Peak views, lush grass everywhere (thanks to the non-stop rain in June,) and enough cotton to make yourself a sweater. Seriously though, if you have a cotton tree allergy, do NOT come here. There was so much cotton on the grass that it looked like we just got some fresh snow. The homeless community didn't seem to be hanging out near the playground this particular day, so it was a fantastic experience! *However, I know it has gotten really bad in other areas of MVP, hence the 3 stars. I'm a Colorado Springs local, and unfortunately Liberalism has taken over the city. With Liberal views, you get Liberal policies, which means the homeless community and druggies get to take over. Watch your kids closely as drug paraphernalia can be found throughout MVP. Hopefully, city "leaders" catch a glimpse of these reviews and learn what a disgrace they are. 👍

Great park, and it connects to so many other trails and areas. There is a playground, but I can't review that part.

As a playground and a park, I love it! However, be aware that there are homeless that live around the area. Mostly, they don’t bother you. If you feel weird, bring pepper spray. Also, be aware of your surroundings. But I haven’t been bothered by them. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m from SF, CA. The homeless don’t bother me.
